Lt Gen (Dr) Prakash Menon served for forty years with operational experience spanning Siachen Glacier, Line of Control in J&K and Command appointments at Battalion, Brigade and Divisional levels in Kashmir. He was Commandant of the National Defence College and Military Adviser, National Security Council Secretariat. Presently, he is the Director, Strategic Studies Programme, Takshashila Institution, Bangalore.
