Born into a farming family in Bhutan in 1973, Neten Chockling was recognised by the Sixteenth Karmapa as the reincarnation of a Buddhist master who had settled in Himachal Pradesh, after the invasion of Tibet in 1959. Besides his duties as the spiritual head of his monastery in Himachal, Neten Chockling devotes his time to retreat, pilgrimage and filmmaking.
