Prof Pushpesh Pant has postgraduate degrees in Indian History, International Relationsand Law. He has taught at the Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru Universities and published over twenty books focusing on the cultural heritage of India covering subjects like the Himalaya, River Ganga, Buddhism, Ajanta and Ellora, Madhya Pradesh and Sikkim, Indian Cuisines and the Grand Trunk Road. He has been associated as a researcher, scriptwriter and anchor with over 200 documentaries telecast nationally including the acclaimed series on Forts of India, Rivers of India and Soul of India (unveiling the legacy of Classical Music). He has been a regular columnist in leading English and Hindi newspapers chronicling culture for over four decades.
